rabbit and deer repellent

My wife is a master gardener, and our property is plagued with tick-carrying deer that love vĩ đại eat her gardens. We have tried many products and trang chủ remedies over the years, and this is the best, by far. Yes, it is costly, but it is worth every penny. Prior vĩ đại using this, for years I applied a well-known product made from dried, powdered pig blood. It was marginally effective, didn't last, and was very difficult vĩ đại mix. It would also clog my sprayer frequently with blood clots. It would smell awful when mixing and after application. It would also leave dark brown [blood] spots on the plants.

Speaking of smelling awful, this product also smells awful, but the odor dissipates within a day or sánh. It appears vĩ đại last somewhere between a couple of weeks and a month, sánh you bởi need vĩ đại re-apply it regularly. It comes as a concentrate that is about the consistency of heavy cream. 12.8 oz or sánh mix into a total of 1 gallon water. It mixes very easily, makes a small amount of foam, and has no clots or clogging issues. If you mix it indoors, the smell is pretty nasty, but doesn't last very long. I have vĩ đại say that the nasty smell is more visceral than vãn olfactory - it's almost lượt thích it makes bu feel ill vĩ đại smell it, even though the smell itself is not overpowering. Very subjective, your mileage may vary. One gallon of concentrate will make about 10 gallons of ready vĩ đại use.

So here's the bottom line - this stuff is easy vĩ đại mix and use, works well, and lasts. The best repellent I have found, in many years of trying, vĩ đại keep the deer from eating our plantings. I recommend buying a small amount of concentrate, and see how it works for you.

We have a neighborhood herd of deer that spend hours in my neighbor's yards eating everything. They even lắc down in the yard across the street from my flower garden; there were 3 fawns this year frolicking about! I've used Liquid Fence for years with inconsistent success. Last year the deer ate EVERYTHING, right down vĩ đại the dirt, including stuff they don't usually eat. We had a drought and I think they were looking for moisture as much as food. This year I made a solid effort vĩ đại spray every other or at most every 3rd evening, and boy has it worked. I can't grow vegetables as not enough sun, sánh can't comment on them, but have lots of flowering perennials and shrubs. Azaleas, hosta, phlox, oakleaf hydrangea, sedum, windflower, daylillies, etc - they ate the daylilies in my neighbor's yard 2 feet from mine, but after initial nibbles in the spring, they've left everything alone. It means that I hire kids vĩ đại spray when I'm out of town, but it is sánh worth it!! I buy the concentrate and use it vĩ đại refill the spray bottle. I replaced the sprayer in that bottle as the one that came with the sprayer was pretty crappy. My neighbors can't get over how well it works!! I HAVE vĩ đại spray it every 2 or 3 days consistently for it vĩ đại work.

I wouldn't have a garden if I didn't use this product. I use it vĩ đại spray everything in my yard once or twice a week. I have forgotten a couple of times in the last few years and the deer ate every Daylily bud they could get their lips on. Highly recommend!

It is effective but doesn't last as long as advertised, or else these Colorado deer are very hungry. Must reapply after precipitation. However, the concentrate seems vĩ đại be a little more effective than vãn the premix in the spray bottle.

This stuff really kept the deer and bunnies away from my hostas for a long time. It smells horrid the first day but the smell faded overnight. I can ignore the initial smell because it worked sánh well.

This stuff smells absolutely disgusting for a couple of hours, which is worth it because my plants have been left alone by the deer!

We have used this product for years. Best product for keeping deer from stripping all new growth on roses and hydrangeas. Warning a bit smelly after application for a few hours. If you get lots of rain after application, you’ll need vĩ đại reapply

I have used this product for years. They have upped the ounces of use per gallon making it more expensive vĩ đại use. I try vĩ đại coat everything at first and then as the deer learn what vĩ đại stay away from I just put alittle here and there vĩ đại keep the scent around. Works great but expensive.
