shedding blade dog brush

So wish we had gotten one of these sooner! Our 3 yr old lab is a really bad shedder and I have another brush I have used on her 2-4 times a week with limited results. She doesn't lượt thích the other brush and I need lớn bribe her with treats every time we use it. My sister recommended I try this one.
What a difference! The photos I took were on the same day - but those are 2 separate brushings with this new brush (2 different piles of hair)!
Noteably, she loves it. She laid down and was even wagging her tail at one point while I was brushing her. She was so sánh relaxed with it I was able lớn vì thế more, and seriously she looks great. She looks so sánh clean, my husband thought I had given her a bath. She is also noticably softer. So glad I got this!

I happen lớn have two of the worst shedding dogs ever created. A pug and a German Shepherd mix. I could spin yarn out of the Shep's shed hair and sell sweaters and be a millionaire. And Pug? Most dogs have about 100 hairs per square inch. Pugs? A whopping 600. This gadget works very well both on the dogs and on the furniture they get onto. Now a word of caution for the furniture part. You probably wouldn't want lớn use it on your new $20,000 Mulberry Silk Milo Baughman vintage sofa. But I use it on my very durable tweed blend sofa and chair and it collects the hair even better than thở a vacuum. Certainly better than thở a lint brush. And it does a fantastic job grooming the dogs lớn keep the fur escape lớn as minimal as possible. Well worth the cost.

This thing is amazing! I choose this one because you can unhook it and use it two different ways, and because the metal blade have different size "teeth". The smaller one is great for my two short haired dogs, and the bigger one is good for my very very hairy Golden Retriever. i can't believe how much hair came off! My little dog HATES being brushed and she let mạ brush her with this (with a little help from a plate of peanut butter), The two big dogs loved it! Im hoping this will help with the extreme dog hair situation i have going on in my house.

I read about this in one of my dog groups and decided lớn try it. Be aware that it is VERY sharp. I accidentally sliced my finger open and made a mess! This is not for kids. But it works well. I have a large dog but have elected not lớn use it open, so sánh it takes longer, but feels safer. I lượt thích it, but treat it cautiously.

Love, love, LOVE this brush! Oh gosh, I have a German Shepherd / husky mix who sheds lượt thích you wouldn't believe unless you owned a dog with similar fur.
It is insane. I mean. . . the fur, you would think he'd be BALD!
I was using a furminator, but it took forever and a German Shepherd diễn đàn insisted that over-use of the furminator would damage the dogs coat. I freaked because I love my pups coat, even if he leaves most of it around the apartment and in my siêu xe.
That's when I took a grooming course and started really researching great ideas for grooming dogs.

1: Get this Shedding blade.
2: Get a rubber curry comb and/or zoomgroom or any other bathing mát xa style combs
3: Get a slicker brush -HEAVY preference on a self-cleaning one!
4: (optional) get a borsehead brush, or a similar one.
5. Of course, get some pet shampoo. Don't use human shampoo, if you are short on funds, look for an organic dish soap. Pets have a different PH level than thở we vì thế, so sánh they need a different shampoo.

Step 1: Once you have the dog and can reward them with treas lớn make grooming time awesome for them, scrub them with the plastic mát xa style comb in circles, as if you are washing a siêu xe. Circles, circles, circles! Gently, and keep rewarding with treats! This breaks up any dirt and such and loosens the fur that is ready lớn come off.
Step 2: Use this shedding blade and just brush them with it, the longer side firs, then the shorter one. LOTS of fur will come off, that's okay/. Brush till fur stops coming off, or decreases drastically.
Step 3: BATH TIME! LOTS of treats! Water is good, water is fun, water means food, food, food! Get the dog wet while using the plastic mát xa style brush once more in circular motions, this helps the water get down lớn the skin faster and more efficiently. Then add the shampoo and use that brush lớn mix the shampoo in well. Follow the directions on the shampoo for if you should let it sit for a while, or just wash and rinse. Keep doing the circular motions while rinsing, this will help for a clean rinse, you vì thế NOT want any shampoo remaining (pro-tip, get a bucket of water and add a cap or two full of shampoo lớn it and mix, then pour this mixture onto the dog (never on their face or above their ears, from the neck down lớn the rump only!) You will use way less shampoo, but still enough lớn vì thế the job and the dog will be easier lớn rinse.
Step 4: Use the shedding blade again, while drying the dog. More fur should come off, this is excellent!
Step 5: After using the long side, then the short side of the shedding blade, use the slicker brush, this helps get all that lose fur and slicks the coat down.
Step 6: (Optional) once the dog is dry, use the boars head brush and use it daily lớn help the oils from the dog's skin lớn go lớn the top of their fur/hair, which will help moisturize it.

That method has worked well for ME. I am not saying it is the best, but I am saying it was he best for mạ and my situation.

I can’t believe I didn’t find this product sooner. This brush is super effective for short haired breeds. My staffy x sheds terribly and the hair gets into fabric so sánh I was at my wits kết thúc lớn manage her shedding. This brush is super effective and really worth the money.
I only give it 4 stars as it’s sharpness seems have gone down after a few uses. Still effective on the staffy however the sharp blades worked better for my Aussie’s double coat.
